The Kamengo Cultural Troupe (KCT) is a dynamic performing arts group based in Ottawa, Canada, founded through the Agnes Zabali Boys & Girls Club (AZBGC). Using the power of traditional African music, dance, and drumming, the troupe promotes cultural heritage, education, and community empowerment.

 

Many of the troupe’s talented performers are graduates of AZBGC’s youth mentorship programs, making each performance a living testament to the impact of grassroots support. The troupe regularly performs at community gatherings, cultural festivals, schools, community associations, retirement and nursing homes, sharing powerful stories of resilience, identity, and unity. Through their vibrant performances, KCT raises awareness about the needs of rural youth in Uganda and helps mobilize support for education, health, and sport initiatives.
